Yesterday, I pulled over on the side of a road and found this location for this hip maternity session.
was. not. disappointed.
I got the privilege of holding this sweet girl on the 4th of July!!! Paul and Rose were completely smitten with baby Christa. Every shot I took reminded me of my own newborn baby bliss. I remember staring at my little girl for hours amazed that she was actually mine!
Not only did they handle Christa with grace,Paul and Rose communicated tenderly with one another. I got to talk to them separately while planning the logistics of the session and they talked highly of one another. During their session and the small breaks in between, I'd catch them staring at one another! They were just so genuine and I really hope to have captured that.
To add to the sweetness, both of their parents were in town and got to jump in for some camera time. they just wanted to hold that baby ;) and I don't blame them!
All in all, love all around. See for yourself...
Anyone who knows me knows that I am very close to my family. We are loud and feel like we should be contenders for a sitcom. Two weeks ago, Karlie called me while I was heading home from a Michigan wedding, (Oh man, I need catch up on my blog!) and told me how she and her high school sweet-heart were getting married! Karlie and Ace are 18 and 19 years-old! Ace is completing his training in the air force and they were ready to be together forever! Karlie and her family (as well as their two fur-babies!) made the long haul from Oklahoma to all the way to San Antonio.
She found me on Google! (UM SCORE!) They were getting married in 14 days and because of Ace's training schedule, we didn't have a time for the ceremony until the NIGHT BEFORE! Also, if you know me, all spontaneous endevors make my art-mind salivate!
Today, at 6:00 am, (they're going down for the earliest meet-up time) I met and fell in love with the Taylor and Eastwood families. The love that they surrounded Ace and Karlie blew me away! Every hand was working, every person smiling.
Not only that, but the families embraced me like we were long-time friends. We ended up going for BBQ later that evening and I felt welcome enought that I decided to bring my daughter and husbaeee. All in all...I left feeling like family; and Ace and Karlie are set with a family...like that.
Cannot WAIT (as usual) to share more!
Just a lover of moments so I capture them. Taking time to enjoy the details, eat good food and fall in love with knowledge.
