When you work with people you know there's an added sweetness to it. I had the honor of working with my former Pastors and their girls! My freshmen and sophomore year of college was spent at their (then)new church plant and thus, they were my first family away from family. I'll never forget having coffee with David and sharing all about what the Lord was doing my life. He referred me to Kara who really opened up and shared with me about her own walk and just overall, encouraged me. I was only 19 at the time, had switch my major three times (and didn't know it would be another two major changes to finally find my passion) and really having time with a (time to get personal here!) break up. I feel like I've run down a rabbit hole of feelings and reminiscing here but, I say all of this to really express how much they've done in my life. That night at staff retreat I spent about two hours with Kara and left feeling so refreshed. Honestly, It may have been partially all the word vomit (venting, crying and even whining) but also because Kara listened. She really listened to me and that made me feel valued. It's something that I've always remember.
Anyway! Here is their family! I knew Kara and David before Junia (oldest) and Charity (youngest) and have had the pleasure of seeing them as parents! They are patient and they really incite the individuality of their girls. Junia is a very confindent, intelligent and witty little girl. The world needs to watch out! This girl is most definitely a leader. When we were shooting, her dad did a cartwheel and then told her how to do it. She tried but then decided "I'll have to try later". She didn't get frustrated or cry because she couldn't. It was so cute and SO hilarious but I'm always laughing with her. Charity is a lot like Kara which is delightful to see in a baby. What I mean by that is Kara is fairly reserved and incredibly smart. Charity isn't typically jolly, laugh-at-everyone type of baby. I absolutely love that about her. It's almost as if she's accessing your character when you talk to her. I kid you not! She's very smart and even though I've only spent a small amount of time with her, she does have an overwhelming about of sweetness to her.
More about them in a couple of weeks!
You've asked and asked and FINALLY it's here! I'm so happy to finally have an official site up and running. I'm so excited for what this year has to offer. This September is full of weddings, new babies and people are still smiling because it's nice weather (at least here in Texas). Here is my new haven. I'll update, share experiences and blab ALOT! Especially about my super cute baby girl.
Here's to new beginnings!
